Le Marronnier, named after the abundance of chestnut trees, is a 16th century converted stone farmhouse located within the limestone plateau of the beautiful Parc Natural des Causses de Quercy. Lovingly and tastefully renovated by the English owners to reflect the style of the region and maintains all of its original charm.
Situated close to the village of Espédaillac and a short drive to Livernon, Le Marronnier is perfectly located for peace and tranquility. It provides spacious accommodation, with 3 bedrooms, 2 double, (one groundfloor en suite) and one 1 twin.
The entrance is directly from the garden into the comfortable living/dining area, with the galley kitchen just to the left. Well equipped with cooker/fridge/freezer/washing machine/dishwasher/microwave etc.

The pretty village of Espédaillac is within walking distance, and is surrounded by quiet country lanes, ideal for cycling and walking, with an abundance of tracks to follow and explore. The local Auberge restaurant/bar is very popular with locals and visitors and has a good choice of regional dishes at excellent value. Tennis courts are close by in the village.
Just 5 mins drive to Livernon with local bars, 2 restaurants, bakery, post office and general store, and within easy reach of many local tourist and beauty spots. A short drive will take you to the town of Lacapelle Marival, for wider choice of shops/supermarket and banks. The beautiful medieval town of Figeac is approx 20 mins drive away, with it’s bustling Saturday market, as well as many delightful shops, bars and restaurants and also wide choice of supermarkets and hypermarket.
Within one hour’s drive, are numerous tourist spots and places of interest, including Cahors, St Cirq Lapopie and the famous historic site of Rocamadour, the fascinating natural chasm of the ‘Gouffre de Padirac’ as well as pre-historic caves, famous for their cave paintings.
An ideal base for visiting the Lot, Célé and Dordogne river valleys for a choice of many river activities.
