If your ideal holiday includes a leisurely 5 minute stroll to the local auberge for a 5 course Sunday lunch followed by spending the rest of the afternoon relaxing in the sun by the side of a sparkling private pool, then Le Marronnier is the place for you.

The Accommodation

This 16^th century fully restored farmhouse with WIFI and UK Sat TV, faces south to the Cele valley. Set in extensive grounds, 3 bedrooms sleep six people with a private pool of 11x5 metres.

The pool and terrace lie a few steps away through a little gate in a dry stone wall in the delightful private gardens with a view over the surrounding countryside.

Ground Floor

Large comfortable sitting/ dining room with original limestone flag floor and oak beams, wood burning stove and beautiful fireplace.

Very well equipped kitchen with dishwasher, microwave fridge freezer and gas/electric cooker.

Bedroom 1 with King sized bed and door to garden. A shower room with basin/WC and washing machine is ensuite. (This room is accessible to people of restricted mobility though they would need some help managing 2 steps from the sitting room.)

Outside

A large table and chairs shaded by a spreading Horse Chestnut tree provides for al fresco dining with Plancha griddle. The close by inviting pool area also has a table and chairs and sun loungers for relaxation. The grounds are full of trees, shrubs, flowers and visiting butterflies in a quiet and peaceful setting – a naturalist’s paradise.

Ample parking/Pool Alarm/WIFI/UK satellite TV/Changeover day Saturday/English speakers provide a friendly welcome.

Local Area

Auberge Beauville is 5 minutes walk away at the top of the lane in Espedaillac village and a small shop a 10 minute drive away in Livernon. A bakery/provisions van calls at the house almost daily and announces his arrival by tooting the horn. The surrounding countryside is a walkers and cyclists delight and canoeing on the Cele and Lot rivers is a lovely day out. The Knights Templar town of Figeac is a short drive a way and provides stunning Quercy architecture, a bustling Saturday market with bars and shops to visit. There are more exciting places to eat than can be named here but look on our pin board for ideas! All in all there is plenty to see to capture the imagination and local produce to tempt all tastes. Tourist sites of Rocamadour and St Cirque Lapopie are very easy to reach.
