Sleeps 6-12 La Gaillardenque is a 19th century traditional Quercy farmhouse and cottage set amongst the vineyards of the Lot valley, 30 miles east of the historic town of Cahors. Very private yet within cycling distance of the village of Serignac with its bakery, bar and general store, and a short drive from Puy L’Eveque, Prayssac and Tournon d’Argenais for choice of bars/restaurants and local shops. La Gaillardenque is ideal for large groups or individual families. Carefully restored to retain many original features it is full of character and charm. Private 10mx5m pool. During peak season both the farmhouse and cottage are let to one large group of up to 12, but either property may be let to smaller groups off peak. Sleeps 6-12

    Situated a short drive from the beautiful towns of Puy L’Eveque, Prayssac and Tournon d’Argenais, and 1 mile from the small villages of Floressas and Serignac, La Gaillardenque, although in a rural location, is very well located for easy access to local tourist activities and amenities. Built on 2 levels, the accommodation consists of the original farmhouse, sleeping up to 8 and its former Bakery (Cottage) adjacent to the main house, sleeping 2-4. For smaller groups, it is possible to rent the farmhouse or cottage independently during off peak weeks, by arrangement. Local Area Ideally located for easy access to a number of villages and towns, La Gaillardenque is within cycling distance of Serignac with its general store/bakery and bar, and a short drive to several local restaurants. Also within a short drive, are the beautiful towns of Puy L’Eveque, Prayssac and Tournon d’Argenais, for local markets, supermarkets and banks etc. The historic town of Cahors is approximately half an hour drive away with its famous landmarks such as the Valentré Bridge over the River Lot. Bustling with activity during the summer months, with music festivals, traditional markets, museums, cafes, shops and restaurants. Many of Frances 'plus beaux villages' are within easy reach, especially the medieval St-Cirq-Lapopie, which spectacularly overhangs the River Lot. Ideally located for many outdoor activities eg canoeing, horse riding, fishing, walking and cycling.
